Water and Health

Our body is on average 70 percent water. Part of that water is in our blood, intercellular, and even 10% of the teeth is water.
Water is an indispensable fuel for our bodies. A grown man should almost three liters of water daily in food and drink to take. This volume is indispensable. Without water we can survive up to four days, where we could stand it much longer without food.
Every day we lose body fluids and must be constantly replenished. In this way we ensure that all physiological systems are working, we strengthen our defenses and we prevent diseases. Water is we remove the waste from our bodies regulate our body heat and we transport vitamins, minerals and other nutrients by the body.
Water is not only a tasty thirst quencher, but also healthy!
The amount of fluid we need varies from person to person. Thus, children need more water than adults. The age and body weight and of course the physical activity determine the water needs. Who is active, loses more moisture through sweat and through respiration. The ambient temperature plays a role, making it difficult to correct the fluid needs of an individual to determine. 1 to 1.5 liters of water daily, and even more when we are sick, it is recommended that the balance in the body, and the balance in the mind, to preserve or restore.
The following data gives an idea of the recommended daily amount of fluid per kilogram of body weight:
Baby’s 150 ml / kg
Children (up to 10 years) 50 ml / kg
Adults 30 ml / kg
Elderly (65 +) 25 ml / kg
This means that a child of 6 years to 20 kg, 20 x 40 = 800 ml per day would have to drink.
Some tips for good health: regular drinking water is the message.
- Water is good for hydration of the skin and prevent obsolescence.
- Take the good habit of drinking water and no food is digested.
- Start and end your day with a glass of water and drink at regular intervals a small amount of water.
Large amounts of water once drinking has little effect because the process of change is slow blood. Make a comparison with too much traffic … cars provide congestion. Gradually drive, go much faster and more efficient.
